Dog-Friendly Deviled Eggs Recipe
Juicy burgers. Sweet corn. Creamy potato salad. All of them essential summer cookout foods — but can we get some love for deviled eggs? While rarely as celebrated as, say, steak, we do a bit of a happy dance whenever we spot them as part of a blowout BBQ spread. And with a bit of dog-friendly finessing, your pup will be doing the two-step (four-step?) too.
After all, when offered in moderation, eggs are a healthy source of protein for dogs. Mayo may be off the table (way too high in fat), but probiotic-rich yogurt is the perfect alternative mix-in. This recipe also makes use of fresh herbs from the garden; try a little taste of mint, basil or parsley, which can help support digestion and fresh breath in dogs.
The pièce de résistance? A savory jerky garnish. Nom Nom’s Beef or Chicken Jerky Strips are high in protein, filler-free, and a fun way to add flair to these seasonal, dog-approved treats.
